October 2024 marked a significant milestone for me as I embarked on an exciting journey to support the grand opening of our new store in Atlanta. This opportunity allowed me to showcase my expertise in visual merchandising and leverage my comprehension of omnichannel retail.

Our visual merchandising approach encompassed a wide spectrum of techniques and elements. From window displays that captured the essence of the latest collection, to in-store layouts that guided customers through an immersive shopping experience, every detail was meticulously planned and executed. We employed a mix of traditional and innovative methods, including:

  • Collection Themes: Incorporating seasonal colors, textures, and props to create a cohesive and inviting atmosphere.

  • Dynamic Displays: Engaging customers with elements that encouraged exploration and discovery.

  • Localized Touches: Curating displayed product using historical sales data for the local clientele.

  • Sustainability: Utilizing eco-friendly materials and sustainable practices to align with our commitment to the environment.

The experience was both challenging and rewarding. We faced tight deadlines, logistical hurdles, and the pressure to deliver a flawless execution. However, the dedication and creativity of our team resulted in a visually stunning store that exceeded expectations.

I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to support the Atlanta store opening. It was a privilege to contribute to such a significant project and to see hard work come to life. In my current role, I am privy to the ground-up operations of opening a new Hermès store, from: negotiating future store real estate or reviewing floor plan layouts and fixtures, to the advanced merchandising allocation and headcount planning. Seeing the omnichannel functions come together after so many year was immensely rewarding. It was an incredibly educational trip which reinforced my passion for visual merchandising.

In conclusion, this journey enriched my understanding of visual merchandising and strengthened my skills. I look forward to applying these learnings to future projects!
